Contenido de polifenoles en extracto metanólico en diferentes partes de senecio canescens (wira wira)
Abstract
Los compuestos fenólicos son el grupo más extenso del reino vegetal, en los últimos años se ha comprobado que una dieta rica en especies vegetales que contengan polifenoles mejora la salud y disminuye la incidencia de diversas enfermedades y cáncer, el estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el contenido de polifenoles de las diferentes partes del Senecio canescens, siguiendo un diseño no experimental con enfoque cuantitativo. La muestra fue recolectada en zonas alto andinas de la provincia de Carhuaz ,Centro Poblado Maya ,Caserío de Ponks y fue trasladada al laboratorio para el secado, pulverizado y obtención del extracto metanólico; Para el análisis de polifenoles totales se utilizó el método de Folin ciocalteu y se utilizó catequina como estándar para la curva de calibración llegando a obtener como resultados que las hojas tienen 16.53± 0.65, las flores 21.97± 0.24, y la raíces 20.45 ± 0.17,expresados en mg de catequina eq./g de muestra seca, se llega a la conclusión que las flores presentan mayor contenido de polifenoles totales que las demás partes de la especie vegetal Senecio canescens.
